The Story of My Name
In China, names express the expectations of the elders for children and it has different meanings. My Chinese name called Meixian, Mei means beautiful, and Xian means virtuous and talented. My grandmother gave me this name. She wanted me to be a good-looking and kind person in the future. Unfortunately, Mei has some words sounds in my native tongue that gives it another meaning. For example, the last one and the cat can also call Mei. When they call my name, sounds like a cat's name, and always last one in everything I do. Therefore, I don’t like my name when I was a child. The misunderstanding disappeared when I moved to a Cantonese speaking place, but I still didn't like the tacky name. I came to Chicago and changed an English name called Grace. Although in the mouth of the Chinese people still has a bad meaning, I think to choose a name that I like is more important than anything. Don't care about what other people's said, the name is just a symbol, if we want others to remember our names, we should be through the personality and treat others kindly.
I think that you have to modify this format It is difficult to read
