The Origin of My Name


My name is Ailing, and it is spelled with the Chinese characters. Furthermore, one of the most interesting things is the similar pronunciation of my name between English and Chinese.
Actually, my name is not unique because I named after a famous Chinese writer - Ailing Zhang (Eileen Chang). She was talented and pretty and she wrote a lot of poems and essays from the 1940s to the 1950s. One of her classic writings is called Legend, which was focused on the females from the society led by the males in the 20th century. Although she passed away, what she left will never disappear.
It was a cold day in the winter and after I was born, my father said, “ Let’ s get a great name for our baby!” Some of our relatives provided some names which sounded good, and then my parents chose the best one for me. Finally, my father picked the name - Ailing for me. He hoped that I could be an intelligent girl like the famous writer.
I like my name because it was given by my parents. When someone calls my name, I can feel the love from my parents.

    Hello Ailing. Even though your name is named after a famous writer, I think your name is unique enough. In my opinion, your name feels beautiful and brave. When I call your name, I feel that your name is soft and powerful. Personally, I really like your name:)

Do  you like your name? Name is a different love from parents, it always include parents’ hope and best wishes to their child. Especially, there is a special science to get a name in China. In short, each parent will not only include their expectations and blessings for their children when naming their children, but also consider whether each word helps their children's life.  Therefore , it always be the first hard job for each parents. lost kingdom

Lost kingdom   In everyone’s mind, they are the king of their own kingdom.  So   am  I.  The  little town  where I was born  i s my little kingdom.  I lived there for  sixteen  years ,  and  I was familiar with everything, just like a king know s   everything of his  kingdom .
