The Origin of My Name

My name is Ailing, and it is spelled with the Chinese characters. Furthermore, one of the most interesting things is the similar pronunciation of my name between English and Chinese.
Actually, my name is not unique because I named after a famous Chinese writer - Ailing Zhang (Eileen Chang). She was talented and pretty and she wrote a lot of poems and essays from the 1940s to the 1950s. One of her classic writings is called Legend, which was focused on the females from the society led by the males in the 20th century. Although she passed away, what she left will never disappear.
It was a cold day in the winter and after I was born, my father said,  Let s get a great name for our baby! Some of our relatives provided some names which sounded good, and then my parents chose the best one for me. Finally, my father picked the name - Ailing for me. He hoped that I could be an intelligent girl like the famous writer.
I like my name because it was given by my parents. When someone calls my name, I can feel the love from my parents.
